Infinite outdoors

Columns about the outdoors in Southwestern Alberta and beyond. Richard Burke is a retired journalist/college instructor. In retirement, he gets on the river as much as possible as a fly fisher and unapologetic tree hugger. He also spends more time than anyone has a right to gardening, golfing, taking photos and just about anything that will get him out of the house.
He also remains active promoting and working to somehow resolve environmental concerns (to the extent they can be resolved), through boards of directors of the Oldman Watershed Council, Oldman River Chapter Trout Unlimited Canada. The columns linked here, that have appeared in the local Lethbridge Herald, reflect those commitments. He continues to contribute his perspectives in the River Views section on this website.
